Since it was impossible to top the in-concert exuberance of their debut, KICK OUT THE JAMS, the MC5 re-emerged with a more refined sound for their sophomore effort, 's BACK IN /5(45).

I've always preferred Back in the USA to the MC5's overhyped debut Kick out the Jams. Sure, their first album features the rallying cry of a title track and "Rocket Reducer No. 62," but much of it is dull and plodding. On Back in the USA, they do sound more conventional, sure. But these songs are tight, well-played, and crackle with immediacy.

Back In The USA by The MC5. Listen Now Buy: £ In MP3 Basket View MP3 Basket out of 5 stars Ace music by MC5, crap quality CD. Get the mp3 download instead, it sounds perfect. (tutti frutti par ex), mais cet héritage est là propulsé dans le futur et donnent le ton de comment doit sonner un groupe de rock américain /5(63).

I love the songs, but the same flaws from the lp remain on the cd. It's way too high end in terms of the production. There is a tinny sound to it and the bass is often moved back in the mix. That was not a good thing. MC5 should sound heavy, but NOT Led Zeppelin heavy. All in all, this is one of their "must haves."/5(85).
